Residence L: A Delicate and Luxurious Residential House

An Elegant and Refined Design by Yi-Ching Lin and Shih-Ming Lu

Inspired by the beauty of the sea and the allure of pearls, Residence L, designed by Yi-Ching Lin and Shih-Ming Lu, is a stunning residential house that exudes elegance and refinement. With its smooth arc lines and interchanging layers of sky blue and jazz white, this design creates a space that dances with light and shadow, offering a new experience of luxury and aesthetics.

The utilization of materials such as powder coat veneered panels, marble, oak wood flooring, titanium metal, and leather adds richness and variety to the design. The attention to detail and texture further enhances the overall luxurious atmosphere of the residence.

Spanning across 262 square meters, Residence L showcases the designers' expertise in creating a space that is both functional and visually appealing. The walls play a crucial role in space partitioning, with a majority of them being load-bearing wall systems. The circular arc placement of these walls adds a unique touch, transforming the established layout impression.

The project, which took place in southern China from March 2015 to April 2016, faced minimal obstacles during the renovation process. The designers' meticulous planning and execution ensured a smooth and seamless transformation of the house.

Residence L was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in 2017 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious accolade recognizes designs that demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving the quality of life. The design of Residence L incorporates best practices in art, science, design, and technology, making it a truly outstanding and ingenious creation.
